MYSTERIOUS DEATH OF LOCAL RESIDENT PROMPTS DEEPER INVESTIGATION
The untimely passing of a local man in October of 2015 created a world of concern for his family. Karl C Scott, formerly of Stillwater, took his unannounced vacation to Santa Mira, California that month, and was involved in a fatal car accident. This sparked a wave of investigation by his siblings, looking for explanations of why their "eccentric" relative would seek out fictional characters and landmarks after joining the band Voice of Doom in 2014.
"He was always a bit of an adventure seeker, and down deep a true adventure and sci-fi lover but we all hoped he had put that part of himself behind him." said Katherine Scott-Gleason, Karl's surviving sister. "We all feel his getting back into a band dragged him back to his days of make-believe and we all tried so hard to guide him into staying a responsible adult and pillar of the community."
Scott was drumming for the band VOD and family members feel that after reading some of the song titles on their debut cd VOD III that Karl had slipped back into his "old ways" of adventuring off by himself to look for places and things that don't exist anymore or never existed to begin with. Joseph T. Reitzman, an independent investigator is heading up the investigation and first order of business is to question members of VOD and their record label Pyrrhic Victory Recordings to find some clues and if possible to get some answers into what may have caused Scott to take his trip and cause his death. A representative for PVR had no comment at this time on the investigation but did respond to inquiries with "Buy our products and tell your friends."
